Patchogue Village Announces 1st Ever Scarecrow Contest

The event is set for next month. Check out everything you need to know before signing up for the brand-new contest.

PATCHOGUE, NY - Patchogue's first annual Scarecrow Contest is set for next month.

Village officials announced the new event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 starting at 10 a.m. at the Patchogue Recreation Center on 380 Bay Avenue.

There is no admission and the event is open for children ages 6 to 12.

Kids will be able to make build their own scarecrow to display and will also be able to make a Halloween craft to take home.

Attendees must provide their own clothes for the scarecrow and the village will supply the rest.

Prizes will be awarded for the best overall scarecrow and the most original.
