PMHS Students Discuss Immigration, Public Policy
Students working on presentation for upcoming Bilingual Information Night.

students in Rita Murphy's ESL Global History and AP Government and Politics classes recently met with Cory Forman of Cohen and Forman Attorneys to discuss political rights afforded to citizens and non-citizens.
The students specifically discussed due process laws such as rights to an attorney, and to a speedy trial.
Students will be using information from the discussion toward a final project that will be presented at an upcoming Bilingual Information Night at the high school.

The discussion was supported by a grant acquired by Murphy called "Teaching Immigration Law and Public Policy" sponsored by Street Law and the American Immigration Council.
