PV BOARD MEETING QUICK SUMMARY

The Citizens Campaign for Open Village Government is now adding a new public information outreach with this blog posting : a quick summary of top issues decided at PV Board meeting next morning. Top three issues from last night:

1. The Board agreed to schedule an early April public hearing and vote on piercing the currently existing two percent tax cap in advance of its consideration of the next budget that will be voted on probably later that same month.

2. AA5 event dates were approved but there will be no amplified outdoor music after 9. There had been a proposal to extend that limit to 10 p.m. Public safety and other concerns were cited for keeping the noise level at past limits.

3. A request by a private business to use a village parking lot on a seasonal basis was declared a "non-starter" by the Mayor and taken off the agenda for discussion and or a vote.

Video of the whole meeting was taken and will be online in a few days for anyone to see.
