Report: Medford's Horseblock Road Bridge Getting Repairs

The Horseblock Road bridge in Medford will be receiving structural repairs over the next three months, state transportation officials told Newsday.

The repairs will result in lane closures that will leave only one lane open in each direction over the bridge until the project's completion in July.

Crews will be making steel and concrete repairs which will include replacing the bridge deck and deck joints, state officials told Newsday.

Aside from traffic delays during the repairs, fines will double for exceeding posted speed limits on the bridge while it is a work zone.
