Some Fire Island Communities Due For Mosquito Spraying On Tuesday

Davis Park, Fire Island Pines; other nabes will be sprayed from 5:30 to 10 p.m., weather permitting, Suffolk officials say.

FIRE ISLAND, NY — Some Fire Island communities are slated to be treated for mosquitoes — weather permitting on Tuesday, according to the Suffolk County Department of Public Works.

Davis Park, Fire Island Pines, and Point O’Woods' streets and boardwalks are expected to be treated between 5:30 and 10 p.m. with Anvil, in the form of an ultra-low volume aerosol during ground-spraying, officials said.

Other locations include Ocean Bay Park, Ocean Beach, Seaview, Water Island, Summer Club, and Atlantique, officials said.
