Students, Artist Honored for Bandshell Mural

Patchogue-Medford High School students and artist Andrew Silver were among those who worked on the Shorefront Park mural.

Students and a Patchogue artist were recently honored by Patchogue Village for painting a mural inside of the bandshell stage.

Mr. Scholz’s art class from and illustrator Andrew Silver worked together on the mural. Silver received a proclamation from the Patchogue Village Board of Trustees for his work on Monday.

The Village’s Community Development Agency coordinated with Kelly Good, Patchogue-Medford school district’s director of music, arts and cultural arts, to organize the project.

Lauren Monte, from the Village’s Parks and Recreation Department, also worked on the mural.
