WATCH: 1-Year-Old Gets Special Birthday Treat From Patchogue DPW
The little boy, who loves watching the garbage collectors pass by, recently got a special surprise from the DPW employees on his birthday.

PATCHOGUE, NY — An adorable Patchogue boy got a special birthday surprise from the village of public works employees recently. Grayson Burch always loves to watch the garbage truck pass by his home, typically alongside his dog, Ellie.
"Once he hears the truck he crawls as fast as he can to the front door," his father, Kevin Burch, told Patch.
When Grayson's first birthday fell on garbage pickup day, his father figured it was the perfect opportunity to arrange a surprise for his son.

So on May 8, when the garbage collectors for the village's Department of Public Works drove by during their usual route, they dropped off some balloons in front of the home for the birthday boy, who was waiting as usual by the door along with his mother, Erin O'Brien.
"It really was so nice of them to do something for him," Burch said.
