• Putnam sales tax revenue soars (midhudsonnews.com) — Patterson is set to receive $139,696 from July's booming Putnam County sales tax collections, as higher gas prices, back-to-school shopping, and car sales push county revenue sharply higher. Lawmakers will review the surge at the Legislature's Audit Committee meeting, while other towns and villages across Putnam also see sizable payouts.
