Cortlandt Colonial Restaurant Donates $6,200 to My Brother Vinny

Family Owned Restaurant Uses 40th Anniversary Celebration to Raise Funds for Veterans, Others in Need

Cortlandt Colonial Manor Restaurant's 40th Anniversary dinner and celebration raised funds for My Brother Vinny, a non-profit organization dedicated to distributing food, clothing and furniture to US Veterans, outreach groups, shelters and families in need. The Liaskos family, owners of the restaurant, presented a check for more than $6,200 to the charity.

The theme of the celebration was “Past, Present, and Future” and featured popular food selections, historic photos, archived advertisements, and other memorabilia from four decades of operation.

“My Brother Vinny was selected as the benefactor of our 40th Anniversary Celebration because of the noteworthy charitable work they do in our community, especially with their unwavering support of local veterans. We are grateful to celebrate our 40 years of success by presenting My Brother Vinny with a check for more than $6,200," said Evan Liaskos, General Manager and Executive Chef.

“We are so excited to be the beneficiary of Cortlandt Colonial Restaurant's generosity. We are grateful to celebrate this anniversary with the Liaskos family while raising funds to help support the homeless veterans we serve,” said Paula Miritello, My Brother Vinny Founder/Director.

Liaskos also honored D. Bertoline & Sons since they have been the sole continuous supplier to the restaurant since it opened in 1978. On hand for the celebration were members of the Bertoline family and County Legislator John Testa, who presented the family with a county proclamation.
