Book Lecture and Signing with Alice Singer-Genis, author of "I Won’t Die Hungry: A Holocaust Survivor’s Memoir"

On Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 7pm, The Field Library will present a lecture and book signing by Alice Singer-Genis, author of the recently published book I Won’t Die Hungry: A Holocaust Survivor’s Memoir. Written in collaboration with Emunah Herzod, I Won’t Die Hungry tells the story of the author’s life, from her childhood which was uprooted by the terrors of the Holocaust, to the post-war years in Munich, New York City, and the Hudson Valley.
Alice Singer-Genis was born in Vilno, Poland. She holds a DDS from Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, and an MA in Psychology from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry. Singer-Genis has served as President of Hadassah and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the New York Award Israel Bonds and Westchester Hadassah’s Woman of Merit. She lives in Cortlandt Manor, New York.
Copies of the book will be available for $15.00. A book signing will follow the lecture.
