"COLD SPRING'S PUTNAM COUNTY BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION"

SUNDAY, JUNE 10, 2012   Noon – 7pm

Find out what's happening in Peekskill-Cortlandtfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

(Along Main Street)

 

NOON – 6 PM :  Wells Fargo Stagecoach on view at foot of Main St. (A musical group will escort coach down Main St. around 11:00 A.M.);  Walking tours through village;  Trolley runs through village and outlying areas;  Choral groups and bands performing along Main St.

NOON – 3PM :  Re-enactment concerning War of 1812 on St. Mary's Lawn, off Main St.

3PM :  Putnam County's Birthday party at Cold Spring's Main St. Firehouse.  (Plus Boy Scouts' flag raising, Scottish pipers, and Proclamation ceremonies, with brief talks by local politicians).

4PM :  Storytelling performance on St. Mary’s Lawn, Main St.

7PM :  A full length motion picture, "The Buccaneer", at Cold Spring's Butterfield Library, Morris Ave.

 

TENTATIVE "TIME SCHEDULES" FOR CHORAL GROUPS AND BAND PERFORMANCES:

NOON - 1PM :  Violinist, Civil War skit at Cold Spring Municipal Building, 85 Main St.

1PM – 2PM :   Garrison Union Free School Jazz Band at Cold Spring Municipal Building

2PM – 3PM :  St. Mary’s Choir at Cold Spring Municipal Building

3PM – 4PM : Taped : Dixieland, 1920’s and Big Band selections at Cup-o-Ccino Café, 92 Main St.

4PM – 5PM : Haldane Central High School Band at Cold Spring Municipal Building

12:45PM – 1:30PM and 2PM – 3PM  Rich Bala, Folk musician, at Hudson Valley Outfitters, 61 Main St.
