In commemoration of the Easter Holiday ~ The Family Resource Center of Peekskill, Inc. 's (FRC) Harvest Time Food Pantry Program will hold a Good Friday Free Food give away for persons in need at its agency's main offices located at: 1000 Orchard Street, Peekskill, NY. Located in Peekskill, NY for over 30 years, FRC is a member agency of the Westchester County Food Bank and the Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless. In addition to the Good Friday Festivities there will be cake to celebrate the Executive Director's birthday week ~ Ms. Elizabeth McCorvey. In case you have never heard about FRC, our Founder and Chief CEO the belated Mrs. Vera L. McCorvey-Holloman provided her own personal free space to the following organizations: Jan Peak Shelter to operate its Sunny Donut Breakfast Program (for over 10 years for a minimum fee of $100 per month to help with the utility bill), the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Men in Recovery, the Black Womens Political Caucus, Cornell University to host joint nutition classes with FRC, Dept. of Community Renewal to host joint lead training classes with FRC and Apex Network Center, Inc., the Peekskill NAACP, the Church in the Wilderness (for a minimum fee of $100 per week), and a local Nurses Association..... If you are in need or know of someone in need please send them over to the Resource Center.
