Gordon Lightfoot at The Paramount Peekskill

Gordon Lightfoot has been covered by everyone from Bob Dylan to Elvis Presley, however, nobody can sing a Gordon Lightfoot song quite like Gordon Lightfoot.  On September 30th you can see for yourself as the legendary Gordon Lightfoot takes the stage at the Paramount Center For the Arts in Peekskill.

Lightfoot gained recognition in the mid-'60s as a songwriter when his songs "For Lovin' Me" and "Early Morning Rain" became hits for Peter, Paul & Mary. In addition, Marty Robbins topped the country charts with the Lightfoot written song, "Ribbon of Darkness". He entered the international music charts in the 1970s with "If You Could Read My Mind", "Sundown" (which went to #1 on the charts), "Carefree Highway", "Rainy Day People" and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”.

Gordon Lightfoot's music career has spanned more than five decades, producing more than 200 recordings and helped define the folk-pop sound of the 1960s and 1970s. Lightfoot has received 17 Juno Awards, four ASCAP awards for songwriting and has been nominated for five Grammy Awards.
