
An original member of Slide Hampton's "World of Trombones", Clifton Anderson has been a member of Sonny Rollin's group since 1983, touring and performing with him worldwide and appearing on ten of Sonny's recordings.
Clifton has worked with a "who's who" of diverse musical giants: from Frank Foster, McCoy Tyner, Clifford Jordan, Stevie Wonder, Dizzy Gillespie, Merv Griffin and The Mighty Sparrow to Lester Bowie, Paul Simon, Muhal Richard Abrams, WyClef Jean, and Dionne Warwick among others.
In 2009 Clifton, as a leader, produced the highly anticipated Decade, his first recording in approximately ten years.
