The Frank Kohl Quartet, Tom Kohl (Piano), Mark Minkler (Bass), Jon Doty (Drums)Guitarist, Frank Kohl, began here in New York where he has performed for years. He studied with guitarist, Link Chamberland and graduated from Berklee College of Music. His first recording, Reform, The Frank Kohl Quartet, featured the great Bassist, Michael Moore.
He then moved West to the San Francisco Bay area where he performed his music and was a member of Don McCaslin's Jazz/Salsa band, Warmth. In 1990, he moved to Seattle where he lives and performs today. His new CD, Coast to Coast, The Frank Kohl Quartet includes pianist and brother, Tom Kohl.
