Man Shot Crossbow Arrows At Assisted-Living Facility Staffer: Police

The Mohegan Lake resident is charged with a felony.

New York State Police announce the arrest of Mark A. Riley, age 55, of Mohegan Lake.

Police allege that at about 9:55 a.m. May 20, Riley intentionally shot a series of crossbow arrows at an employee of Mohegan Park Home for Adults, an assisted living facility at 3441 Lexington Ave.

Riley was taken into custody by responding troopers without further incident.

He was charged with one count of Attempted Assault in the First Degree, a Class “C” Felony, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class “D” Felony.

If convicted, Riley faces up to 15 years in State Prison. HeR was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
