Order of Protection Felony: State Police in Cortlandt
The Putnam Valley man had a criminal contempt conviction in the past five years.
New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Patrick Vasi Jr., 25, of Putnam Valley, for Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.
Vasi was arrested June 21 for violating a limited court order of protection. The victim reported that Vasi threatened to harm him during a verbal dispute. He was charged with Criminal Contempt 1st degree due to a previous criminal contempt conviction within the preceding five years.
Vasi was arraigned before the Putnam Valley Court and remanded to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail. Vasi is scheduled to return to court on June 25.
