Pair Accused Of Blowing Up Mailboxes: NYSP
Police said they used mortar-type fireworks to blow up the mailboxes.

CORTLANDT, NY — Two Cortlandt men were accused of blowing up mailboxes in northern Westchester. State police said Christopher M. Servedio, 19, of Cortlandt, was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, felonies, and two counts of fifth-degree arson, misdemeanors.
Kyle R. Louch, 20, of Cortlandt, faces single counts of the same charges.
Police said, on Aug. 26, troopers responded to two residences shortly after 10 p.m. in the Cortlandt Manor area of the town for reports of mailboxes being blown up. A third mailbox was destroyed in the Montrose area of Cortlandt Sept. 2.

An investigation found Louch and Servedio used mortar-type fireworks to blow up the mailboxes, police said.
Servedio's extra charges relate to the destruction with explosives of the Montrose mailbox.

The men were arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court and released on their own recognizance.
They are scheduled to reappear in court Sept. 19.
