Peaceful Resistance Training Offered to Opponents of Algonquin Pipeline Expansion

The workshop will be held Jan. 26 in White Plains.

The second of a set of skill-building workshops Organized by SAPE (Stop the Algonquin Pipeline) will be held Jan. 26 to train concerned citizens in non-violent direct action techniques.

This is part of the group’s response to the proposed expansion of Spectra Energy’s Algonquin gas pipeline and its associated gas infrastructure in Rockland, Westchester and Putnam Counties.

“The final decision about this dangerous, massive fracked gas project will be made this winter, and it will impact residents throughout the entire region,” said organzers from SAPE.
