More School Schedules Change Due To HV Power Issues: Update
Many schools don't have power -- and roads across their districts remain blocked. Putnam Valley will have grief counseling sessions.

Several school districts in Putnam and northern Westchester counties will not open Monday. Others are waiting on updates. Here are announcements as of 6:30 a.m. Monday:
Bedford - 2-hour delay
Blind Brook - 2 hour delay

Briarcliff Manor - closed
Byram Hills - closed

Carmel - closed
Chappaqua - 3-hour delay
Croton-Harmon - closed
Fallsburg - closed
Greenburgh Central 7 - other
Hastings-on-Hudson - closed
Hendrick Hudson - As of now, Furnace Woods Elementary School and Blue Mountain Middle School are closed. There is no transportation for out of district, private or parochial school students at Furnace Woods or Blue Mountain. Afterschool and evening activities at Furnace Woods and Blue Mountain are cancelled. Buchanan-Verplanck, Frank G. Lindsey, and the High School are on a two-hour delay. This may change, as we know more about roads and power.
Garrison - 2-hour delay
Katonah-Lewisboro - 2-hour delay
Lakeland - closed
Mahopac - closed
Pine Plains - closed
Putnam Valley - closed. There will be special grief sharing sessions for staff, parents and students. More Information

Fortunately, the Brewster School District has power, but some of our residents do not. The School District will be open tomorrow and a robo call will go out tonight to parents and staff announcing this.
