Vaccination Clinic Set For Peekskill Students, Age 5-11

Students in the district can receive the first of two Pfizer COVID-19 shots at the special clinic.

PEEKSKILL, NY — The Peekskill City School District in collaboration with the Westchester County Department of Health will be hosting a coronavirus vaccination clinic for students age 5 to 11.

The clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Peekskill Middle School, 212 Ringgold St., in Peekskill.

If you would like your child or children, age 5 to 11, to receive a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination, you must make an appointment using this link. Walk-ins will not be accepted. If you need help signing up, call 914-737-3300, ext. 1533.

There are a limited number of appointments; this session is for students of the Peekskill City School District only.

A parent or legal guardian must be present with the student to receive the vaccine, which is free. You will also need to come back three weeks after the first appointment for the second dose to complete the vaccination on Jan. 8. A follow-up appointment will be made at the time of your first dose.

After the vaccine is administered, the student will be required to remain for at least 15 minutes. Persons with a history of allergies will be required to stay for a minimum of 30 minutes.
