Yorktown Cigarette Thief Accused of Peekskill Burglaries

PEEKSKILL, NY — A man arrested Saturday in Yorktown on burglary charges was arraigned Friday in Peekskill, accused of several thefts and burglaries there as well. Christopher Trowbridge was transported from the Westchester County Jail to Peekskill City Court Friday to be arrested and arraigned.

After Trowbridge was arrested Sept. 22 by Yorktown police, Peekskill police further investigated him. He is being charged in the following incidents:

  • On 9/1/18, suspect enters 828 Washington St, El Brujo restaurant, and steals a tip jar containing an unknown amount of money from the counter.
  • On 9/15/18, suspect enters 4100 Albany Post Rd, Mobil gas station, and steals a carton of cigarettes.
  • On 9/17/18, suspect enters 925 Washington St, Citgo gas station, and steals a carton of cigarettes.
  • During the early morning hours of 9/18/18, suspect smashes out window of Citgo gas station, enters and steals lottery tickets.

Trowbridge was arraigned in Peekskill City Court and sent back to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or bond.
