Both hearings will present identical information and&nbsp;be held in an open house format, with a presentation&nbsp;followed by a formal comment session. All interested&nbsp;persons will be given the opportunity to express their&nbsp;views concerning the potential effects of the Project. The&nbsp;proceedings will be recorded by a stenographer. Spanish&nbsp;language and American Sign Language interpreters&nbsp;will be available during the hearings. Locations will&nbsp;be accessible to individuals with disabilities.&nbsp;Public comments may be submitted via the project website, or by email to ShoreRoadBridgeBX@dot.nyc.gov or by U.S. mail to: NYC DOT, Division of Bridges, Shore Road Bridge Project Team, Attention: Joannene Kidder, 55 Water Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10041. Amy Frey’s new play follows Samuel Treadwell Pell (1755–1786), a newly minted captain of the Continental Army, who cannot wait to get home to Pelham to see his fiancée (and cousin), Mary. However, when Mary’s family hosts British officers for dinner, she and Samuel have to decide if their future marriage can withstand a political divide. Frey examines the impact of bipartisan politics on family dynamics during the birth of the United States of America.
Performed and produced by the Red Monkey Theater Group.
Before the play, there will be a short discussion about these historical figures and some events that unfolded at Pell’s Point in October 1776.
