It'll be a great sunny start to the week.

According to the National Weather Service, you'll probably need the umbrella starting Tuesday night.

  • Today: Sunny, with a high near 78. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph.
  • Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Light southwest wind becoming south 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.
  • Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
There are a few days left to catch the annual Faculty and Student Showcase at the Pelham Art Center. Their creative, colorful work ranges from charcoal to oils, black and white photographs to digital prints, and mixed media to ceramics. It's on view through Aug. 9.

The Music Conservatory of Westchester continues its weekly concerts. On Thursday, Aug. 8, the concert The Romantic Violin – will feature Sarah Wetherbee, violin, and Hiroshi Yamazaki, piano.

It's not too late to sign up for the Pelham Library's End of Summer Reading Game. All the kids need to do is read three books before the end of the  month to participate in an ice cream social.

Shower the People - James Taylor Tribute: Featuring the voice and guitar work of Neil Donell will be performed Aug. 8 at Westchester's Ridge Hill in Yonkers.
