The Pelham Art Center is pleased to announce a group
exhibition of sculpture and installation by contemporary mid-career artists
addressing narratives related to science and technology. Curator Jeffrey
Mongrain is an internationally recognized artist and Head of MFA Sculpture at
Hunter College in NYC.



 



Convergency will
be on view from September 13 – October 26, 2013 with an opening reception
on Thursday, September 12, 6:30-8pm. Admission is free and open to the
public. A free all-ages art making workshop related to the exhibition will also
be offered during the reception.  Additional FREE public
programming will include a panel discussion with the curator and artists on
October 19 from 1-3pm in conjunction with a Frankenstein-inspired children’s
art workshop, part of a Pelham Reads Frankenstein town-wide celebration.



 



Artists included in the exhibition are: Dylan
Beck, Christie Brown, Chad Curtis, David East, Linda Ganstrom, Arthur Gonzalez,
Nicholas Kripal, James Lawton, Steven Montgomery, Judy Moonelis, Sana Musasama,
Matt Nolen, Denise Pelletier, Benji Schulman, Virginia Scotchie, Bobby
Silverman, Neil Tetkowski, Adam Welch, and Susan York.
