Daily Sports Digest: Murray, Pelham Pelican Soccer Advances

The Pelican soccer team opened up the playoffs in stellar fashion as Pelham went on to beat Saunders 4-0. Aiden Murry and two other Pelicans scored goals for the home team in the victory and the win gives Pelham a date with the sixth seeded Rye Garnets tonight.

While the boys face off against Rye the Pelham girls team will be hosting Peekskill at 4:15 in an opening round game. The winner between Pelham and Peekskill will hit the road on Saturday.

On Saturday the Pelicans will also hit the gridiron as Pelham hosts Brewster at 1:30.

Score: Pelham Won 4-0

Highlights: Aiden Murry scored two goals for Pelham as the Pelicans cruised passed Saunders in the opening round of the playoffs. James Edwards and Michael Weber also scored in the victory while Charlie Livingstone had two assists and Ricarti Basso had 3 saves.
