Fireworks Coming Thursday to Southern Westchester

The skies over southern Westchester County will be lit up Thursday with fireworks displays.

Nearby, in New Rochelle, the city will celebrate with its "Spark the Sound" Independence Day Extravaganza.

The world-famous Grucci Family is producing and sponsoring the event which begins—rain or shine—at 9:30 p.m.

Optimum viewing locations include the parks on Long Island Sound and waterfront restaurants.

Other locations in the area include the Village of Mamaroneck's Harbor Island Park, 123 Mamaroneck Ave. The start time is shortly after sunset.

The Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers, 8000 Mall Walk, will have fireworks beginning at 9 p.m. Music and other activities start at 1 p.m.
