Hudson Valley Counties Among NY's Lowest For Unemployment
Columbia County tops the list. Find jobs on Pelham Patch.

PELHAM, NY — The Hudson Valley is one of the economic engines driving New York's tight labor market.
Rates in all of New York's 62 counties were lower in October than they were in October 2017, state Labor Department officials said Tuesday. Moreover, rates in the mid- and lower Hudson Valley were lower than the statewide rate of 4.0 percent.

Still, the market may not feel as hot as it is because workers' pay has been stagnant for so long, according to a report Tuesday in MarketWatch.

- Saratoga County (2.9%)
- Seneca County (3.0%)
- Tompkins County (3.0%)
- Yates County (3.0%)
- Albany County (3.1%)
- Dutchess County (3.1%)
- Nassau County (3.1%)
- Ontario County (3.1%)
- Putnam County (3.1%)
- Suffolk County (3.1%)
Westchester, Ulster, Rockland and Orange counties weren't far behind.
