Dinosaurs were the subject Tuesday of the Pelham Public Library's latest craft project.
The children listened while Lilly Hecker, the children's services librarian, read a book about the prehistoric creatures while showing them the pictures.
Among the things they learned about were fossils and when the dinosaurs died out (65 million years ago).
"People and dinosaurs never met each other," Hecker said.
The children then had a choice of making a dinosaur using modeling clay or making a fossil.
The free event was part of the library's series of summer activities. Pelham Public Library is located at 530 Colonial Ave.
