Panel Discussion & Pelham Reads Frankenstein Children’s Art Workshop

On October 19 from 1-3pm
curator Jeffrey Mongrain will lead a tour of the current Pelham Art Center exhibition,
Convergency. Following the tour,
Mongrain will moderate a panel of 4-5
invited artists to discuss ideas explored in the exhibition. Running
simultaneously, children can construct their own version of Frankenstein in a
fun art making workshop in our studio. Both events are part of Pelham Reads
Frankenstein!, a town-wide celebration of the Frankenstein tale through
literature, art and film in October and November that relate to key elements in
Convergency.

Convergency is a group
exhibition of sculpture and installation by contemporary mid-career artists
addressing narratives related to science and technology. Curator Jeffrey
Mongrain is an internationally recognized artist and Head of MFA Sculpture at
Hunter College in NYC.
