Max is one of only 40 selected in the United States.

Seventeen-year-old Pelham Memorial High School student Max Pine has been named one of the finalists in the national Intel Science Talent Search contest, organizers announced this week.
The Intel Science Talent Search (Intel STS) is the nation’s most prestigious pre-college science competition. Alumni of STS have made extraordinary contributions to science and hold more than 100 of the world’s most coveted science and math honors, including the Nobel Prize and National Medal of Science.
Pine’s entry in the contest was “Effect of Climate on the Spatial Distribution and Synchrony of Eight Irruptive Bird Species.”
