Register Your Kids; Need an Intern?

Here's what's coming up and worth noting in and around Pelham on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Here are five things to know about Pelham and what's going on in and around the town:

  • From the June 2013 newsletter of the Episcopalian Christ Church in Pelham: "We look forward to welcoming you, and your children back to Church School [for religious education] on September 15, before the start of the 10 a.m. service. Please send any questions via email at cipsen@optonline.net, or mjwiehagen@hotmail.com or contact any of the teachers."
  • "Pelham Art Center is seeking proposals for a temporary public sculpture to be installed in our 2,300 sq. foot open courtyard. We are looking for work that can be sited for three months, considers the scale, architecture and use of the courtyard and we encourage site-specific proposals. The sculpture will be selected by our Gallery Advisory Committee on the basis of its creativity, interactivity and structural integrity.   • Ends this Friday, Aug. 9: "Pelham Art Center is pleased to present its highly popular Faculty and Student Showcase. This annual exhibition features both two and three dimensional work in a variety of mediums by the Art Center’s distinguished teachers and enthusiastic students. Exhibited work ranges from charcoal to oils, black and white photographs to digital prints, and mixed media to ceramics.
