• From the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Aug. 4 church bulletin: "Classes will begin in the fall for non-Catholics who wish to become members of the Catholic Church and for adult Catholics who have not received the Sacraments of Communion or Confirmation. • The Music Conservatory of Westchester continues its weekly concerts. On Thursday, Aug. 8, the concert The Romantic Violin – will feature Sarah Wetherbee, violin, and Hiroshi Yamazaki, piano.

• Shower the People - James Taylor Tribute featuring the voice and guitar work of Neil Donell, will be performed Thursday, Aug. 8 at Westchester's Ridge Hill in Yonkers.

• "Family Services of Westchester [...] is seeking [temporary] loving homes [...] for children with special needs, who at this time are unable to live with their birth parents/family. Therapeutic Foster homes are needed for boys and girls of all races for 5 to 18 years of age.
