Weather Update: Dense Fog Throughout Westchester This Evening
Visibility will difficult in spots in Pelham.

The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement Saturday about dense fog in Westchester County.
“Areas of fog... locally dense... are expected to continue through this evening,” the NWS wrote in the statement. “Motorists are advised to slow down as sudden drops in visibility to less than 1/4 mile can be expected. Visibilities are expected to gradually improve late this evening through midnight.”
On Friday, the NWS issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Westchester throughout much of the weekend, primarily due to the possibility of some local flooding.

“Ice Jam flooding is unpredictable and sudden,” the NWS wrote. “So it is advised that those with interests along our larger rivers and streams monitor NWS forecasts for the latest information.”
