Whiz Kid: Josh Borofsky
Josh Borofsky helps usher the Pelicans to the NY State High School semifinals.

Here's our story on this week's Whiz Kid:
Name: Josh Borofsky
Age: 16
School: Pelham Memorial High School
Whiz Kid's Accomplishments: As the starting goalie for the Pelham High School Pelicans, Josh was part of a team that went to the New York State High School semifinals this past season. In six playoff games, he had a goals against average of 1.00 and a save percentage of .950. He also played travel hockey for Pelham for many years, won many tournament and league championships and played on the Bantam team that went to the Tier III Bantam state semifinals in 2009.
Keys to awesomeness: "Josh plays hockey 12 months a year and is always working to improve his game," said Josh's dad, Lewis Borofsky.

He plays spring and fall hockey as well as tournaments and camps during the summer.
"My routine before a big game includes a pregame meal of spaghetti, a few games of "NHL '11" on my Xbox to sharpen my hand-eye coordination and listening to my favorite music on my Ipod to get myself psyched up," Josh said.
