Many important issues confront out community and Chamber members–how can we make our Town and the County economic engines for growth? What will happen with the "Wang" property and how will it be developed? How will the Nassau Coliseum be redeveloped and will the Islanders remain on Long Island? Will taxes continue to go up and how can we make our community affordable for the next generation of Long Islanders?
The Chamber's event seeks discussions and answers to these questions. The candidates, incumbents and political newcomers, are here to answer these questions and be challenged about their vision for the future of Long Island and the community. Participants will be free to ask questions of the candidates. Election Day is right around the corner on Tuesday, November 8th. If you’re not currently registered to vote, visit the Nassau County Board of Elections website at www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/BOE/ for information and the forms needed to vote.
