Plainview Residents Might See Smoke, Flames From Their Homes

A movie is being filmed in the area.

PLAINVIEW, NY— A movie being filmed in the area plans to set a stage on fire, which will create smoke and flames that may be visible in the Plainview, Bethpage and Hicksville communities on Wednesday and Thursday.

Acting Police Commissioner Thomas C. Krumpter advises the public that this unnatural occurrence is for a movie production being filmed at Gold Coast Studios, located at 700 Hicksville Road in Bethpage.

The filming will be held from 3-10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Nassau Police were unable to tell Patch what movie was being filmed, but residents in Glen Cove said the next installment for Ocean’s Eleven has been filming in their community over the past week. Police did not confirm if the filming in Bethpage was for this movie.

Patch also reached out to a representative from Gold Coast Studios who could not immediately confirm the name of the movie.

Members of the Police Department’s Arson/Bomb Squad and Nassau County Fire Marshall will be present during the filming.
