2011 Recap: Briarcliff Manor Police Arrests

The tallied 170 total arrests in 2011, according to Lieutenant Donald Gorey.

The majority of the arrests—44—were related to alleged larcenies. Here is a snapshot of the year's arrests:

• 12 driving while intoxicated arrests
• 21 harassment arrests
• 10 burglary arrests
• 44 larceny arrests
• 3 criminal possession of stolen property arrests
• 8 warrant arrests
• 4 drug-related arrests
• 2 youth arrests
• 1 assault arrest
• 5 "other" arrests

Gorey said the remainder of the arrests resulted from accusations of drivers found with suspended licenses or car registrations.
