Update: Four Injured in Route 9A Accident [VIDEO]

Traffic was temporarily stalled on Route 9A in Briarcliff Manor Sunday afternoon.

Update, 4:55 p.m. — The accident on Route 9A just north of North State Road in Briarcliff Manor has just been cleared.

The accident, which occurred in the southbound lanes of the road, had temporarily blocked all southbound traffic after it took place at approximately 4 p.m. this afternoon.

Four people were hospitalized at Westchester Medical Center following what police said was a rear-end collision. The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

At approximately 4:50 p.m., a tow truck could be seeing taking a damaged vehicle from the scene.

Briarcliff Manor Police, Ambulance and Fire Department units have responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 9A in the village.

According to police, the accident was reported at approximately 4 p.m. and there may be up to four injured people at the scene.

Traffic is currently backed up in the southbound lanes of Route 9A near the intersection of North State Road.
