Norma Drummond is the Westchester County Deputy Commissioner of Planning, and has worked for the County in a number of different positions in the County Executive’s Office and Planning since 1986. She has administered the County’s Section 8 program as well as overseen the County’s CDBG and HUD grant programs. More recently she has been working on the implementation of the County’s Fair Housing Settlement Agreement with HUD to assist in the development of 750 units of fair and affordable housing and meet the other obligations of the agreement.
Norma has a Masters in Public Administration from Pace University, and a Bachelors in Economics, History and Political Science. She has served on a number of local, state and national boards, including having served as a past president of the National Association for County Community and Economic Development. She as served on her local Planning and Zoning Boards for 15 years and currently serves as Chair of the East Fishkill Zoning Board.

In 2009, Westchester County entered into a settlement agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that calls for the development of 750 units of affordable housing by the end of 2016. Ms. Drummond will update us on the status of the settlement and what the county is doing to address affordable housing needs.
The breakfast will be held Tuesday, January 12 at 8:30 am at the El Dorado West Diner, 480 South Broadway, Tarrytown (across from the Doubletree Hotel.)
