Briarcliff Baseball Team Recognized by School Board

Four seniors and coaches were applauded on Monday.

It has been a season to remember.

The  varsity baseball team learned to work hard and never give up during the ups and downs , which ultimately ended with a run at the state title over the course of a rainy weekend in Binghamtom.

At Monday's Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Neal Miller revealed he had followed the team's progress through states even though he had not yet officially started his position and congratulated the team and coaches on a tremendous season.

Principal James Kaishian and Athletic Director Chris Drosopoulos, who traveled with the team upstate for the finals, both said the team displayed exceptional maturity and perseverance both on and off the field.

Board of Education President Guy Rotondo and Miller presented the four seniors who attended the meeting on Monday with certificates of recognition, along with the team's two coaches.
