Briarcliff Irene Update: 9A, Route 9 Flooded and Closed
Emergency responders have already removed downed trees in a few places.
As of 9:45 a.m. this morning, Briarcliff Manor Police reported the closing of Route 9A in both directions to the Taconic State Parkway exit due to flooding.
"There are normal trees down," said Police Officer Mike Zazzini. "There's nothing too dangerous right now."
Areas where downed trees and wires hae been reported include 436 Pleasantville Rd., Scarbourgh and Old Briarcliff Roads and Aspinawal Road.

"Route 9 is closed in our jurisdiction," P.O. Zazzini added.
Police have not received any calls about flooded homes in the village yet.
