Briarcliff Man Arrested in Pleasantville Stabbing
The following is from the Pleasantville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Reza A. Daneshvar, 21, was arrested Wednesday and charged in Pleasantville early that morning in the vicinity of Pine Street.
Daneshvar, of Briarcliff Manor, is charged with Assault in the First Degree, a felony.
According to a press release, "At approximately 2:18 a.m. on November 23, 2011 the received a call from the in reference to a stabbing victim at Phelps Memorial Hospital."

In a preliminary investigation, Pleasantville's detectives identified Daneshvar as the suspect in the stabbing of a 20-year-old Briarcliff Manor man "after conducting multiple interviews."
"It is believed that the incident occurred as the result of a dispute between acquaintances," the statement said.

Daneshvar turned himself into police at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, was arraigned by Village Justice John Curley. He was sent to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
He is due back in Pleasantville Court on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
The male victim is still in the hospital "in serious condition."
