Briarcliff Manor Court: Harassment Case Heads to Domestic Violence Court; DWAI Case Adjourned

Donald Caetano, Jr., 27, and charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree and Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree.

The Greenwich, CT, man's case may be moved to Westchester County's Integrated Domestic Violence Court (IDV), Assistant District Attorney Michael Borrelli said Wednesday.
Borrelli said the case had already been accepted by IDV, but he did not have the paperwork confirming this yesterday. He added Caetano has another case pending in IDV court, which is on the calendar on February 2.

The two cases may be consolidated, said Borrelli.
Another Evaluation Requested for DWI Defendant
J.C. Martin III, 23, was arrested on Oct. 11, 2011 and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
On Wednesday, Village Justice Fred Weinstein said it appeared the Ossining man had one unexcused absence at Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC), which he is required to attend by the court
Martin's attorney stated the absence was work-related.
Borrelli said he wanted to see one more TASC report before going to sentencing in the case. Weinstein agreed.
The matter was then adjourned until February 8.
DWAI Case Adjourned
Joseph Briggs, 37, Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs and alcohol.
The Peekskill man was arrested on December 22.
On Wednesday, Briggs did not appear, but Borrelli stated the defendant's attorney had spoken with Assistant District Attorney Nicholas DiCostanza about the case.
The parties agreed to a February 8 adjournment.
