Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Threatening Text Messages; Deer vs. Police Car

Friday, Oct. 21
9:49 p.m. — Police reported a squad car hit a deer, causing some damage to the vehicle, on Scarborough Road. No injuries were reported.

4:50 p.m. — Police performed a traffic stop on Route 9 and issued a summons to a 27-year-old Tarrytown man driving with a suspended license and registration.
8:56 a.m. — A 44-year-old Scarsdale man was arrested for driving with a suspended license due to an insurance lapse on Pleasantville Road. He was transported to headquarters for processing and released on $100 bail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

8:51 a.m. — A Meadow Road resident told police she had received numerous texts warning her to stay away from the sender's friends. She did not know who sent the texts, but believed they may have been sent to her number in error. A report was filed.
Thursday, Oct. 20
10:11 a.m. — A resident called police to report there is a vehicle that repeatedly speeds past a school bus on Sleepy Hollow Road in the morning. Officers were unable to locate the described car that day, but are investigating the issue.
Wednesday, Oct. 19
8:06 p.m. — A Briarcliff Manor resident called police to report his son's iPhone was stolen from his backpack while in class at . Police filed a report.
11:08 a.m. — A Katonah woman called police to report her credit card had been stolen from her car while she was parked at on August 19. She stated someone had used charged $9,500 in unauthorized expenses to the card. Police filed a reprot.
Monday, Oct. 17
1:07 p.m. — A 24-year-old Yonkers woman was issued a summons by police after a stop on Route 9 for driving with a supended registration due to an insurance lapse. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
