Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Unwanted Animal in the Attic; Pedestrian Struck by Truck Mirror

Thursday, Nov. 17
8:13 a.m. — Police responded to Hemlock Road, where a resident complained a neighbor was using a chainsaw prior to the lawful time of 8 a.m. The party was advised of the law by police.

Wednesday, Nov. 16
8:16 p.m. — An alarm was triggered at the River Road pump house station. Police determined the premise was secure.

12:50 p.m. — A River Road resident reported a case of possible identity theft where an unauthorized check was cashed in his name. The detective is looking into the case.
Tuesday, Nov. 15
1:55 p.m. — A Schrade Road resident reported there was an unknown animal in the attic. Police referred the resident to animal control.
1:47 p.m. — A Chappaqua Road man reported receiving suspicious phone calls. The detective is investigating the matter.
1:23 p.m. — Police responded to the scene of a minor motor vehicle accident on Pleasantville Road, where a pedestrian was struck by a village truck's mirror as it was turning onto the street. The pedestrian reported minor injuries and did not go to the hospital.
Monday, Nov. 14
1:55 p.m. — Police were notified of a transformer fire on Pleasantville Road. The department notified Con Edison, who responded to the scene.
