Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Burglary at Gas Station; Unidentified Plane Reported

The following information was supplied by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department. When arrests are noted, they do not indicate a conviction.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from Aug. 22 — Aug. 28, 2011:

Sunday, Aug. 28

1:19 a.m. — A Willow Drive man called police to report being involved in a dispute with his daughter. Responding officers reported the argument was resolved.

Saturday, Aug. 27

2:13 p.m. — A firefighter reported a dispute on Woodlea Lane, where a resident was reportedly refusing to turn on a water pump. The situation was resolved.

Friday, Aug. 26

7:03 p.m. — A caller reported a low-flying plane was in the vicinity of Route 9, flying south and then east. The responding officer checked the area with negative results.

Thursday, Aug. 25

3:36 p.m. — Police were notified when a burglary alarm was activated at a Scarborough Road residence. The alarm company told police the homeowner had been contacted and the responding officer confirmed the premise was secure.

Monday, Aug. 22

6:04 a.m. — A caller reported the gas station Pleasantville Road . The responding officer stated it appeared the side door of the building had been pried open. The detective was notified and the items taken from the business is under investigation.
