Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Car Break-In at Train Station; Two Injured in Auto Accident

The following information was supplied by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department. When arrests are noted, they do not indicate a conviction.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from Sept. 5 — Sept. 11, 2011:

Sunday, Sept. 11

9:29 p.m. — Police reported a civil dispute between a former couple who traded vehicles.

2:04 p.m. — A male Atria resident who was attending a function at  was reported missing. He was later discovered walking in nearby Ossining and was returned to the Atria by police.

Saturday, Sept. 10

6:28 p.m. — A possible larceny was reported at the Scarborough Metro-North station. A car was reportedly broken into and ransacked while parked in the lot, though police were unable to confirm if any items were missing.

Thursday, Sept. 8 

8:05 p.m. — Police responded to a two-car accident on Route 9A, where two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. 

4:50 p.m. — A Larchmont woman, who previously lived in Briarcliff Manor, report a dispute with the moving company involving its charges. She was referred to civil court.

11:26 a.m. — A 25-year-old White Plains man turned himself in on an arrest warrant. He faces a vehicle and traffic charge in the village.

Monday, Sept. 5

3:00 p.m. — A suspicious person was reported on Library Road. Responding police reported the suspect was resting after emerging frm the adjacent trail.
