Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: DWI Arrest; $900 Stolen via Debit Card

The following information was supplied by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department. When arrests are noted, they do not indicate a conviction.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from Aug. 15 — Aug. 21, 2011:

Saturday, Aug. 20

12:44 p.m. — Police performed a traffic stop on Route 9A after a vehicle was reportedly speeding. The driver was determined to have a suspended New York State license. The 21-year-old Ossining man was arrested and appeared in court on Wednesday.

Thursday, Aug. 18

8:55 p.m. — A South State Road resident reported her debit card appeared to have been duplicated. She stated $900 over 22 unauthorized transactions has been charged to her account. The larceny is under investigation.

2:10 p.m. — A party reported being rear-ended by another vehicle on Pleasantville Road. Minor property damage and no injuries were reported. 

Wednesday, Aug. 17

3:05 p.m. — A masonry company working on Fuller Road was reportedly draining garden debris with a hose down a storm drain. Police asked for the activity to be ceased.

9:12 a.m. — A street sign was reported missing on Law Road. The case is under investigation.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

7:22 p.m. — A Willow Drive resident was reportedly upset when another resident took a group of kittens she found to the .

Monday, Aug. 15

3:52 a.m. — Police responded to an auto accident on Pleasantville Road, where a car had crashed into a telephone pole. The driver was interviewed by police and determined to be intoxicated. The 35-year-old Ossining resident was arrested and charged with DWI. He appeared in court on Wednesday.
