Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Phone Stolen at Middle School; Mailboxes Damaged

The following information was supplied by the police department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from Jan. 9 — 15, 2012.

Sunday, Jan. 15

3:20 p.m. — A Hollowtree Road resident reported the home's mailbox had been damaged overnight. A report was filed.

Saturday, Jan. 14

11:26 a.m. — Police responded to a Hall Road residence where the front door had been left open. Responding officers reported everything seemed to be in order and filed a report.

11:22 a.m. — A Butternut Road resident reported the home's mailbox had been damaged by an unknown person overnight. A report of the criminal mischief was filed.

Friday, Jan. 13

5:06 p.m. — A  student reported her iPhone had been stolen at the campus. Police filed a report.

1:50 p.m. — A Meadow Road resident reported receiving suspicious phone calls from an international number. Police filed a report.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

 10:27 a.m. — A 21-year-old Ossining man turned himself in on an arrest warrant. He was arraigned and released with a court date.

Tuesday, Jan. 10

9:14 a.m. — A two-car accident was reported on at the corner of Woodside Avenue and North State Road. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Monday, Jan. 9

8:51 a.m. — A Hall Road resident told police a car had almost hit his wife and daughter as they were going to the school bus. He stated the car had been continually running the stop sign. He also said when the car's driver was confronted, he gave the middle finger. Police are attempting to catch the suspect.
